Fiskars will tell you how to destroy recalled chainsaws in order to get a full refund.

Fiskars is voluntarily recalling its popular chainsaws (models 9463, 9440 and 9441) because the telescopic rods could fall apart in use. This can cause the blade to fall several feet into the air, creating a cut hazard.
If you have purchased one of these, Fiskars will give you a full refund and provide a laxative to dispose of the defective product. Read on to find out more.
From December 2016 to September 2020, approximately 562,680 table saws were sold in the US and Canada, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). These saws are available from home improvement and hardware stores, as well as from the Fiskars website.
These saws have oval fiberglass handles and 7 to 16 foot long aluminum telescoping rods and can cut tall branches with a pruning knife or a hooked wood saw. The handle has two orange C-shaped clips and two orange locking buttons. The Fiskars logo and UPC code, including the model number, are also located on the handle.
First, if you have a 9463, 9440, or 9441, stop using it immediately. Then watch the following video tutorial from Fiskars to learn how to safely destroy a defective product for a full refund.
If you have any questions about this recall or how to get a refund, please contact Fiskars at 888-847-8716 Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm CST.
