CORE Industrial Partners acquires Gem Manufacturing | modern machine shop

       Gem Manufacturing uses vertical transfer and molding techniques to produce high precision deep drawn components.
       CORE Industrial Partners, a manufacturing, industrial technology and industrial services private equity firm, has acquired Gem Manufacturing, a supplier of precision metal components and deep drawing mechanical assemblies.
        Gem, founded in 1950, manufactures precision deep drawn components from prototypes to high volume products using vertical transfer and molding technologies. The deep drawing manufacturing process is claimed to have several significant advantages over other metal forming processes, allowing parts to be produced without mechanical seams or joints, with uniform wall thicknesses and high strength to weight ratios. Working with metals such as aluminium, copper, brass, stainless and carbon steel, inconel and monel, the company serves customers in a variety of end markets including electric vehicles, mining, aerospace, defense and industrial sectors.
        Gem complements its extensive stamping experience with precision CNC turning and milling and wire EDM to design and manufacture all tools in-house, and offers a range of secondary services including finishing and printing. Headquartered in Waterbury, Connecticut, Gem is ISO 9001 certified and ITAR registered and operates three nearly 100,000 square foot facilities with a company-owned plant in Binh Duong, Vietnam.
